This White Beauty is now ready for the road. Carrera Classic has been working for three years with the full restoration of this original matching numbers 911. This White Ivory car is one of the first 1966 model cars and produced in September 1965. The chassi number is 3021xx. The car still retains it’s original matching numbers 901/01 engine with Solex carburators and it’s original 902/1 type 5 – speed gearbox.
The model year of the Porsches was changing in the summer but with these cars produced 1964-1966 the model year has less importance. Porsche introduced the changes to the cars step by step. This car still has the type plate next to the chassi number and non adjustable front suspension top, but it has the new generation 902 gearbox. These are just some issues which were changing gradually in 1965/1966.
This car was first delivered to a US customer in Switzerland in 1965 and then imported to US in late 1966. It has been then in US until 2013, where it had one owner from 1975 to 2012. The car was bare metal restored to the highest standard by Carrera Classic in 2016 – 2019. The well picture documented, over two thousand hour restoration work has been done very much respecting the originality of the car and the special features of these early cars. Even the original Webasto petrol heater is now in fully working condition.
The car is in concours condition, Classic Data grade 1, which is confirmed by evaluation report done after restoration in 2019. The car is registered to the Finnish Veteran Vehicle Register.
