Luftgekühlt Treffen was organised first time in co-operation between Porsche Classic Club Finland and ja Carrera Classic in 2022 at Botniaring Racetrack. In 2023 Luftgekühlt Treffen was organised by PCCF as a road trip in Southern Finland. In 2024 Luftgekühlt Treffen returned back to Ostrobothnia and also back to a racetrack. This time the event was organized at the Kemora Racetrack at Veteli.
The event is meant to be a get-together of the air-cooled Porsche fans. It also meant to be event to have possibility to drive your car on the track in a safe and controlled way. This was not a track day, but rather a possibility to feel how your car behaves on the track and in its faster and slower corners. Between the driving sessions organized by Risto Virtanen, Carrera Classic team: Jan and Tomas demonstrated how the wheel adjustment and chassis tuning is done for a classic Porsche.
This time we had a special invitation for air-cooled racing Porsches which did their own demonstration session. We had several race cars in the demonstration session: 1965 911 FIA race car, two 912 rally cars and a beautiful 911 ST. The star of the event was the impressive orange 1976 Jägermeister 934 RSR.
The weather was variable, but we had very good participation. About 40 drivers went to the track and in total we had more than 60 people participating. Thank you for every body for participating. Lets keep our air-cooled Porsches running and enjoy driving them also in the future.
